Fetterman Fends Off Fellow Democrats

Pennsylvania Rep. Chris Deluzio said Sunday he “might” mount a 2028 primary challenge to Sen. John Fetterman, saying the senator is “nowhere to be seen on the campaign trail” and that no Pennsylvania Democrat wants to campaign alongside him.

The threat follows a report alleging Fetterman routinely skipped constituent meetings, committee hearings, and even the funeral of three fallen hometown officers because he felt it ran too long.

Fetterman dismissed the claims as “lies, half-truths, innuendos, smears” from “disgruntled staffers,” while fellow Democrats Brendan Boyle and Malcolm Kenyatta piled on, with Boyle branding him “a disgrace.”

Deluzio said he’ll focus on the midterms first: “I’ll deal with 2028 when we get past” them.
